This right hand drive, New Zealand new, turquoise beast is known as a 4 door sedan. In the 1960’s Chevrolet made 5 different body styles of Impala:
-Sedan
-Hardtop (Pillarless)
-Sports Coupe
-Convertible
-Station wagon
A sedan like this one is considered one of the least sporty….and least desirable of the body styles! It was pretty much the Toyota Camry of its day!
1967 Impala trivia…
Prices for 1967 Impalas, especially the ‘Hardtop/Pillarless’ variant have increased in the US over the last few years due to the popularity of the Supernatural TV series. In Supernatural the protagonist drives a black 67 hardtop Impala nicknamed ‘Baby’. Fans of the show have been tracking down 67 4 door Impalas and restoring them as replicas of Baby.
