Thanks for checking out our Impala.

This right hand drive, 4 door sedan is New Zealand new and was built in Canada for the export market.  Chevrolet made a total of 5 different body styles of Impala:

    -Sedan
    -Hardtop (Pillarless)
    -Sports Coupe
    -Convertible
    -Station wagon

A sedan like this one is considered one of the least sporty….and least desirable of the body styles….it was pretty much the standard family sedan of its day.

The bike rack is called a Cyberack.  She’s polished Stainless Steel and was custom made in Waikato about 25 years ago.  Since then she has spent some time on the back of a Triumph Spitfire in San Francisco but now hangs out on the Impala here in Hawkes Bay.

    1967 Impala trivia…

Prices for 1967 Impalas, especially the ‘Hardtop/Pillarless’ variant have increased in the US over the last few years due to the popularity of the Supernatural TV series. In Supernatural the protagonist drives a black, 67 hardtop Impala nicknamed ‘Baby’. Fans of the show have been tracking down 67 4 door Impalas and restoring them as replicas of Baby.
