#1. The first step is to click the 'Get Started' button below. It can also be found on the top-right menu on every page or and in the menu (if you're on a mobile).
It’ll open a form and this is where you give us some information about your vehicle.
This is the important part where you tell your car’s story; its history, its features, what it’s packing! Maybe even a great story about how you came to own it. You get the idea. This is your chance to speak for your car when you’re not around it.
It can be as little or as much as you like. There’s an option to include a picture of your car too of course.
#2. Sit back and wait for a personal e-mail from us! We’re aiming for a 24hour turn-around time.
We create a unique page on NZcarQR for your vehicle’s story with the title of the page being the Year, Make and Model. Have a look here at our example page.
We’ll preview the pages before publishing them to make sure there’s nothing on there that shouldn’t be.
We’ll confirm your webpage with you and check you’re happy with it. After this we’ll post your unique NZcarQR code out to you
Anytime you want to share more info about your car, simply display the NZcarQR code in your vehicle’s window. The code is laminated and just needs a bit of water to make it ‘stick’ to the glass and will peel off again easily. There’s a pic at the bottom of this page showing how it looks on the window.
Anyone who wants to learn more about your vehicle simply scans the QR code by hovering their camera over it on their smart phone or tablet which will then open up your unique page.
We will be adding in more features over time, such as comments and logos but for now the pages will be static – no socials.
We’re happy to offer this as a free service to anyone who’s interested in using it as a way to contribute to the car show community!
